How to Participate

The Society for Domestic Museology is always looking for kindred spirits who want to join the conversation around art and ideas.  To support our various activities, we invite you to become a card-carrying member either as an artist, a host, or an attendee, for it takes all three to for this collaboration to work!  Your donation of any size will help underwrite our events and help us expand Domestic Museology to new living rooms.  The first step is to sign up for our mailing list, so you’ll  know when we are planning something new.

Would you like to attend one of our events, either in our home or on one of our field trips?  The first step is to join our mailing list, to learn more about our activities.  And if you are so inclined, join us as a card-carrying member for $40/year.  We will send you a small token of our gratitude that will make it official, and you will have preferred invite status to our events.

Host

Are you ready to host an artist in your home? Join our merry band of home gallerists at the $100 level and will send you an official Society for Domestic Museology hosting kit, which includes:

  • Vinyl wall text that will lend your gallery the sense of gravitas it needs
  • An official SfDM Guest book
  • Some handy tips on how to make your event a success
  • And we will upload the photos and write up of your evening on our website.

If you are interested in hosting, but would like to be matched with an artist or would like us to facilitate and/or cater the event for you, send us an email and we’ll talk!
